I am experiencing the same problems on mandrake cooker with KDE 3.5 rc 1. This happens for dimap accounts on both kerio mailserver v6.1, as zimbra 3.0. M2. Also the folder settings "Keep replies in this folder" and "Act on new/unread mail in this folder" change all occasionally after a start/stop of kontact. Sometimes the settings are saved, but then suddenly after restarting Kontact they are set again in what looks random settings. I mean, when "keep replies in this folder" is set and I unset it. This is OK for the session. Then after starting/stopping, suddenly "Act on new/unread mail in this folder" is set, or both these two flags are set. This does not happen all the time and is random for a folder. A sample for the message when syncing for the first time after start up: Error while uploading folder Could not make the folder Drafts on the server. This could be because you do not have permission to do this, or because the folder is already present on the server; the error message from the server communication is here: Could Not Create Folder An attempt to create the requested folder failed. Details of the request: URL: (unknown) Date and time: Tuesday 22 November 2005 19:23 Additional information: imap://dick%40xxxxtec.nl@zimbra:143/Drafts/ Possible causes: Your access permissions may be inadequate to perform the requested operation on this resource. The location where the folder was to be created may not exist. A protocol error or incompatibility may have occurred. Possible solutions: Retry the request. Check your access permissions on this resource.access permissions on this resource. My errors look exactly like Dick's except: Could not make the folder newsletters on the server. ... Additional information: imap://derek@localhost:143/INBOX.newsletters/ Presumably just a difference in the namespace for the IMAP server (I'm running courier-imap). I'm having the same problem as Dick after upgrading from kmail 1.8 to 1.9. I run gentoo and recently installed the (still masked) kde3.5 packages. I've tried deleting my entire imap cache, tried deleting the folder in question on the mail server, none of that helped. As I have about 20 folders in all, it doesn't choose the same one each time. Yup, same problem here! Very, very annoying. Since I almost always have to recreate the local DIMAP cache. And that takes *loooong* for my 300+ MB account... |
