I have a recurring event, for example during Tuesdays and Fridays. I added a list of Exceptions (specifically, November 15 and 18, 2005). In the event viewer, (right-click on event and click Show or in the sidebar), It says "This is a recurring ... next occurrence will be on 11/15/2005 2:30 pm.". Clearly, the exceptions are not ignored.

Works for me in KDE4.2
