Description Michael Donaghy 2005-11-09 15:15:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

KThemeManager currently requires one to manually select a theme file to install it; a link to kde-look.org is provided but this still entails manually downloading and installing. It seems to me this would be an ideal place to use KHotNewStuff as is done for desktop wallpapers.

kthememanager khotnewstuff

patch against kde3.5 beta2. It uses a new string but its already translated so
tha patch can be added to 3.5. I couldn't find out what .xml we should put so
the two config->writeEntry need a little tweaking

Slightly changed patch. Probably this can't be applied to 3.5 due to the
untranslatable string. If its ok, and with the changes to
kthememanager::slotGetNewStuff() i will port it to svn

Thanks for the patch, however, KDE is currently in hard freeze for the upcoming KDE 3.5 release. I'll apply the patch as soon as the SVN repository has been opened again.
