Description Tommi Uimonen 2005-11-09 15:10:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

In open/save dialog, when you type in the first letter and then a list of existing files will popup; If preview is on, kde will preview only the first (if it doesn't crash -> see bug 83503), but when moving down on the list (by keyboard or mouse) the first file still is shown in the preview window. There is no way to get it to preview the others, even when toggling the preview (F11) on and off.

I'd rather have the preview disabled for the first completion entry as well. IMHO it might be confusing to see the the preview start off only because you typed in a single letter in the location lineedit.

Explicit selection of an item in the itemview should trigger the preview.

Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.

Works for me in KDE Frameworks 5.
