Description Ruben Jenster 2005-11-08 21:10:46 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Using knotes with a imap resource on a disconnnected IMAP account does not work for me.
Other imap resources (contacs, calendar, tasks, journal) work properly.

DESCRIPTION:
A new created note is saved in the imap resouce folder.
When the note is changed a new entry is created in the imap resource folder.
When deleting a note the entrys in the imap resource folder are not deleted.

When accessing the notes imap resource folder from another pc new notes do not get displayed in knotes, neither in the the kontact plugin nor in the standalone version.

Any Idea?

Regards,
Ruben

I'm sorry, I don't know about the imap resource too well yet. IIRC this
resource only works properly with, or is even only designed for, the Kolab
server. But please don't hesitate to ask on kde-pim@kde.org, they would know
for sure.

Thanks for you report,
  Michael

I can confirm this exact behavior on my disconnected IMAP account. It's too bad; I'd really like to use notes and carry them with me across systems.

Version: Debian knotes, kontact, etc. 3.5.2-1+b1

Probably a dupe of bug#117347

Dup of bug#117347
I also noticed that it happens when using the Groupware IMAP Resource pointed to a local directory (non-imap).
