Description Pierre Naude 2005-11-07 09:04:07 UTC
Version: 0.36 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

I run a number of niced background processes on my machine.

The end result is that all graphs utilising the cpu sensor simply reflects that my cpu is 100% in use, which is factually true but rather useless for monitoring purposes.

Please provide a format for the CPU sensor that reflects the total cpu utilisation less the nice value, i.e. only totals user + system.

Thanks

patch to fix this bug

This patch will add the format value 'suload' to the existing options for the
CPU sensor. As proposed in this bug (request), 'suload' totals 'system' +
'user' CPU-load (or 'load' minus 'nice'). The patch is made against
kdeutils-3.5.0 and should not cause any 'collateral damage'.

This bug can be closed as suload was apparently added at some point. I didn't check when, but it's there in the sources as of kde 4.6.3.

Unless it remains open pending documentation...

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
