Description Frederik Himpe 2005-11-06 23:25:57 UTC
Version: 1.3-svn (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: gcc 4.0.2

I'm using an amarok 1.3 svn branch checkout from about one week ago. When I change songs too quickly (e.g. by using Win + B shortcut keys or using mouse in playlist window), the whole UI hangs, but the music continues to play. I have to kill Amarok and restart it to be able to use it normally again. I have seen this problem a few times now, and I was able to reproduce it two times on demand, but sometimes it takes a lot of tries to reproduce.

I wrote this problem after encountering this problem on Ubuntu Breezy AMD64. I just succeeded in reproducing the same problem using Alt+B several times quickly after each other in Mandriva 2006.1 Cooker (Amarok 1.3.5). So it seems to be neither arch, neither distro dependent.

Is this still valid with 1.4 and xine-engine?

*** Bug 131414 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

Hm, I opened myself a duplicate bug of this for Amarok 1.4.1 (I forgot I reported this already before!), so I can confirm this is still happening in 1.4.1 and it is very easily reproducable.
Comment 5 Frederik Himpe 2006-07-27 16:18:24 UTC
This seems to be fixed in current 1.4 svn. I could not reproduce it anymore by constantly clicking on the next track button, which would have crashed 1.4.1 after two or three clicks.

Thank you for the feedback! Closing, as I also have the impression that this was fixed.
