KIO doesn't support streaming over remote interfaces, sorry. Wish sent to KIO : http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116091 Seeking is supported.. Kind of.. See bug #72302 You have to specify when you start the get job that you want to read from position X instead of from the start, and when you want to skip to another part of the file, you have to close the job and reopen a new job at the new position. This has a bit of overhead though, because you need to start a new KIO job every time you seek. Yes, but amaroK no longer utilizes KIO for playback. So it's entirely a backend thing. I have requested http seeking to be implemented in xine-lib; we will see what comes out of it. |
