It would be cool to have a RSS screensaver that shows new items in akregator.  Especially with Qt4 and author how you can do some real neat eye candy.

Akregator/KDE4 should have a nice API for feeds (notification of new items, accessing the feed list and the article archive), so one could code this easily then.
