Is either of you behind a firewall/ NAT router?
Comment 2 Nicolas L. 2005-10-24 10:23:07 UTC
yes me a router.
have we to Open Ports ?
Comment 3 Aldoo 2005-10-24 17:45:42 UTC
Same problem here. With or without a NAT...
(and I managed to make the webcam work with amsn)
Comment 4 Olivier Goffart 2005-10-26 10:17:16 UTC
Yes, you have to open ports (and redirect) (6891 by default, but it is configurable)

You, or your peer, it doesn't matter.

We don't use (yet) a reflector. (A server in the middle of the transaction)
That protocol is fully encrypted to keep out others to use it.
(but i think the amsn team has already decrypted it)
Comment 5 Francesco D'Offizi 2005-12-02 23:33:18 UTC
Is there anyone working on reflector support? I use a NATted connection and can't open any ports on this connection so I'd like to finally use my webcam with kopete.
As you said amsn has decoded it and reflector support is working so just copy it! :D

If I accept to see somebody else's webcam and nothing happens, but .xsession-error shows the following, would that be the same issue?

KPopupMenu: title() called with non-title id 0.
