Thanks for the report, that's very interesting. I would really appreciate if you could do one experiment for me: 1) Run a konsole 2) type "export GLIBCXX_FORCE_NEW=1" (without the quotes) in it, press enter 3) Run konqueror, and try to see whether the bug goes away. Thanks! As per helpful Kubunto folks (like Riddell), the gcc used here was: gcc (GCC) 4.0.2 20050808 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.0.1-4ubuntu9) It's strange! When I launch Konqueror in the taskbar (the button with home icon), Konqueror crachs immediately! But, when I launch Konqueror in Konsole or in the menu, it doesn't crash. I have modified the command-line (export GLIBCXX_FORCE_NEW=1 && konqueror /home/firelight) and it doesn't crash. Strange no? The problem is in arts. *** Bug 114719 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Thiago: the problem is in libstdc++/gcc *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 111115 *** Thanks. I imagined it would be so, but I wasn't sure. Is this confirmed? There's also one bug about KMail crashing inside operator new() (g++ 4.0.2). |
