Moving. gtkpod complaining about iTunesDB.ext being out of sync is normal: this is an additional database only used by gtkpod and amaroK makes no effort of updating it. As to your songs not showing up: could it be that you are using a 4th generation or newer ipod (e.g. photo/nano)? There is a known limit of 256 songs with the kio based ipod support in amaroK 1.3. Probably fixed in 1.4-svn. Nope, this is not fixed: I have the same problem with Amarok 1.4.4 on Kubuntu Feisty.

Well, there's something going on that the iPod cares about, because adding tracks with gtkpod works normally, but tracks added with Amarok are unplayable. The title and cover artwork appears, but then the iPod skips down through the playlist as if the files weren't there. They are, however; the iPod just doesn't "see" them.
Is there some kind of libgpod-based tool that I can use to debug this problem?
#4: your problem is completely different, as ipods are now (in 1.4) accessed via gtkpod's libgpod library. The original report was for 1.3, which used code based on the ipod kio slave. The cause for your problem is most likely that Amarok was built against libgpod 0.3.2, whereas you now have 0.4.0 installed. Please report this problem to your distributor. I see... I'll try building from source against libgpod 0.4.0. Thanks! I still have the same problem... I'll file a new bug. not so sure if this bug is related... I am using Kubuntu 7.10 I can transfer songs just fine, but the playcounts does not get updated to the itunesDB is it something missing in Amarok? |
