Description greatbunzinni 2005-10-12 12:07:45 UTC
Version: 0.20 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)

When the user navigates a document throught the pageup/pagedown buttons, the page layout position is preserved. For example, if the user is reading the middle of page 10 and he switches to the next page, that page is displayed from the same position as the previous page, which is the middle.

That is really annoying. When a person is reading a document and switches pages, that person intends to start reading from the top of the page instead from a position which coincides with the previous page in. In case the person wishes to read the previous page, then it may be expected that the previous page is displayed from the bottom.

What I believe would be a more "natural" way to read a document is that when switching pages, the next page is shown from the top and the previous page is shown from the bottom. It would be great if kghostview did that. What would be really great was if there was an option which would define the behaviour of a pageup/pagedown, i.e., that let the user defined what action would kghostview adopt if the next/previous page was displayed.

In Okular, PgUp and PgDown work differently.
