Thanks for the report. I can confirm both of these behaviours with 3.5.5 from debian Bug confirmed in 3.5.9. It has been partially fixed on KDE4: You can save the SVG file, but on the save dialog the name is the same of the svg file, the extension is "html" and not "svg". In 4.5.0 -- The title bar is fixed. Can no longer right-click to save as .png (could be handy...) Location->Save As still shows .html file extension but the file is saved properly. Can also now choose right-click->Actions->Download with KGet which does show the proper file extension when saving. Thanks for the feedback!!! Do you consider the bug solved? If the file dialog came up with "filename.svg" instead of "filename.html" then I'd say it was fixed. The way it is now, if you save the file as "filename.html" then go File->Open and choose that file, it will not display properly. The file contents are correct, but Konqueror shows only: "image/svg+xml" Rename the file to "filename.svg" and it displays properly. In a related issue, it would be nice if the context menu for the svg would show applications that deal with svg in the "Open with" menu. Is this still an issue with Konqueor 4.8.4 or 4.9 beta2? I am only on 4.8.3 but there is no change in behavior here. An easy way to test is to go to http://openclipart.org/ Click on any item in "Most Popular", then click on "View Image" Konqueror downloads and displays the SVG image fine. Right-clicking on the image and choosing "Open With" does not show Inkscape. File->Save As saves with .html extension. Thank you for the fast feedback. I sadly don't really have the time to test all 1300+ open Konqueror bugs, so some feedback help form the reports is always welcome :) |
