kmail shows the im status of a buddy, when I read mail from him. If I read mail, while he is going offline, the text changes from online to offline, but not the little picture beside.

still the same problem in kmail version 1.9.1

The online status indicator is gone in trunk, therefore this bug is no longer valid.
(It will later be replaced by a Decibel solution)
