Does this only happens when using mail in Kontact, or also in a standalone version of KMail? Please test. If this also occurs in a standalone version, the issue should be moved to KMail. Moving to kmail for now, since it looks like a kmail issue. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
