Description Michael Stather 2005-09-29 14:57:41 UTC
Version: 1.8.2 (using KDE 3.4.2 Level "b" , SUSE 10.0)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-9-default

When I browse to certain HTML messages my KMail just freezes. If I disable HTML messages I can view those mails. How can I help in debugging, since KMail doesn´t crash.
Comment 1 Gilles Schintgen 2005-09-29 16:18:53 UTC
If they contain no private stuff, you could attach one of those messages to this bug.
Comment 2 Michael Stather 2005-09-29 20:55:31 UTC
The problem is that I can´t select them in KMail for saving because then KMail
freezes :(
I figured out when I select them and then press the delete key very fast
(before the preview is shown) then they´re deleted. That´s what I do with
those messages for now. Or is it possible to save HTML messages with HTML
disabled?

Turn HTML off, select the message, Ctrl+S and save it somewhere. Then Zip it (or .tar.gz) and then attach. Do not attach the message without first zipping or tarring.

Mail which hangs KMail
Comment 5 Michael Stather 2005-09-30 11:15:19 UTC
I´ve attached a mail which crashes my KMail. The strange thing is that I could view this mails until some days ago, then KMail started crashing on HTML mails.

The attached email displays fine in KMail from KDE 3.5.5, with and without displaying external images.

Michael, can you confirm it is fixed for you?
