Version:           1.7.2 (using KDE 3.3.2, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.3 (Mandrakelinux 10.2 3.4.3-7mdk)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.13.1-psd

Vertical scroll of both the message pane and the "view source" pane is disabled while the disposition-notification confirmation box is on screen and waiting for user input.  

I like to read messages before I confirm that I have received them.  

It is possible to work around the problem by using "view source" and pushing the pane off screen with alt-left-mouse-click-and-drag then pulling the bottom edge of the pane down so that the entire message is displayed in a pane without any scrolling - even though the pane is much taller than the screen.

Works fine in KMail 1.8.90 (KDE 3.5 r449049).
