Description Christoph Bartoschek 2005-09-24 16:09:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Kmail should start a new progress bar for deleting mails on a pop3 server after donwloading them. Today I've downloaded about 3000 Mails after three weeks holidays. After the download the progressbar is at 100% and the text says that the mails are deleted on the server. Because of a slow connection it would be nice to be able to estimate when the deletion has finished. Right now it takes longer than 20 minutes. Using ethereal I see pop3s traffic and I guess this are the DELE commands and their acknowledgements.

A progress bar should never be at 100% in my opition because this means that the job is done.

In kmail 1.10.1, the deleting mails action happens in the 100% progressbar.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
