Description Daniel Hahler 2005-09-21 00:57:33 UTC
Version: 1.8.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

The column titles in the message list (Subject, Sender, Date, ..) can be toggled by clicking on them again. This is good.

Unfortunately when you set some column to "descendent", e.g. "Sender", then change the sorting to e.g. "Subject" and than again to "Sender" it will be sorted ascendent by sender!

This is especially bad with "Date" or "Subject" where you have 4 states and if you are in one of the "descending" states it changes to the next ascending one.

E.g. you sort by "Date (Order of Arrival) [desc]", then change the sorting to "Sender" (this gets ascending always then, too!) and come back to "Date" it becomes "Date (Order of Arrival) [asc]". When you know want to get back to "Date (Order of Arrival) [desc]" (what you would have expected from the start) you have to click "Date" 3 times.

As the messagelistview has changed completely for KDE 4.3, the "ascending/descending" flag is selectable as a separate option.
Therefore this bug is solved.
