Description Andy Parkins 2005-09-10 17:58:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Plug in a media:/ enabled writeable device

Open a konqueror window on $HOME
Open a konqueror window on media:/devname
Open a konqueror window on /media/devname

Using these windows
Copy the same file from $HOME to /media/devname
Observe the timestamp is (correctly) preserved; delete the file.

Copy a file from $HOME to media:/devname
Observe the timestamp and notice it has been set to now

I've reported this bug for other ioslaves so I think it is actually a fundamental bug in KIO rather than the media:/ ioslave itself. However, IMHO it's very serious for a locally attached IO slave like media:/
