Description Sami Liedes 2005-09-07 12:39:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: Several fairly recent GCC versions
OS: Linux

Even when I have the signing key field set in Settings -> Configure KNode -> Identity -> Signing key (it is really set and shows there even after restarting KNode, unlike in #93908), I get a message telling that I have not set my preferred signing key and offering to either abort or send the message unsigned.

This happened because the preferred signing key had not been set in the news server or group properties. However it was set in global properties. Why wasn't that enough?

From https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86070#c3
"Use the innermost non-empty identity completly instead of merging the group, account and global identity in case of empty fields."

So this is the intended behaviour
