I've noticed that the new kicker in KDE 3.5 expanded the use of the new tooltip-bubbles. For example the new window-list has it now:

But ksystray is stil missing this feature:

I think that is both inconsequent and nasty compared to the possibility of the new bubbles.

Would be very nice to get all the systray-infos in these bubbles :-)

dude, we can't do that because the systray icons are out of process and kicker has no say over them. this is as reported in other identical requests.

It's a great pity to hear that. I haven't found any other bugs about it so I thought that there were still hope :-(

There is still hope: for KDE4, the idea is to rewrite the whole systray protocol.
