Description Markus Enzenberger 2005-08-31 05:24:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I am using a non-KDE application which creates thumbnails for a non standard MIME type (application/x-go-sgf) in ~/.thumbnails (according to the freedesktop.org standard).
The thumbnails show up fine with Nautilus on GNOME, but Konqueror ignores them.
The MIME type is correctly configured and shown in the Properties context menu and thumbnails for other file types (like PDF, text, PNG) are displayed by Konqueror.

I suppose that this is due how the thumbnails are handled in KDE. Only allowed (by the user) thumbnail categories are shown. Of course, thumbnails not generated by KDE are not in any thumbnail categories and are therefore never "allowed".

Have a nice day!
