When I select a message requiring a MDN while a dIMAP sync is active, KMail hangs after the MDN confirmation message box has popped up. (MDN mode set to Ask ...)

To me that happened quite often. My sync process takes about 30 sec and I usually start reading new messages as soon as I spot a new one in a folder. Switching into that folder and selecting that message gives a nice surprise when a MDN is requested.
I worked around that problem by switching MDNs off, but not everybody will have that option.

Using kmail 1.10.1, I've opened a mail requesting MDN (I have it in ask mode) and the message box popped up, but the sync process continued.

Let's close the report then. I doubt that's reproducible in KDE4.
