Hi!
the search dialog searches for a "match" of the search string.

many users (especially former windows users) will IMHO expect a substring search by default.

Many do not know anything about suffixes.

Sugestion: 

add a checkbox "substring search" and change the behaviour to substring search by default.

please keep in mind that konquerors regexp search capabilities are way beyond normal users abilities.
