Version:           3.4.90 (using KDE 3.4.90 (alpha1, >= 20050806), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-rc7-ck1

Ok. Select a file with a large name, specifically more than width of the statusbar. Now just pass the mouse over the file to show information about the file on the statusbar. If the name of the file is wide enough, statusbar doesn't display this information correctly (it needs more than one line to do it).
