Description greatbunzinni 2005-08-26 17:53:59 UTC
Version: 3.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)

I discovered this bug when personalizing my toolbars.

After adding the "read only mode" toolbar button to the KatePartView toolbar, I noticed that when I switched between open documents, the main toolbar shrunked. After a closer inspection, I noticed that when I switched to the document that was opened when I personalized the toolbar, the "read only mode" buttonwas added and when I switched to another document, the first button of the main toolbar was deleted. That behaviour repeats while there are buttons in the main toolbar.

Priceless. We really can't nuke KMDI fast enough.

AFAIK, there is no code in KDevelop to manipulate what XMLGUI toolbar actions gets put into the toolbars on part activation. I'm guessing this means the bug is in KMDI or lower.

Reassigning.

I just ran into this bug in kate 2.5.1 on KDE 3.5.1 on Kubuntu Dapper

When I switch between documents, buttons start disappearing until only new, open, back, forward, and close are left. I have to reset the toolbar to defaults to get the buttons back.
