this is KDE, not oracle Hi Stephan, There are some missing components in KDE for Oracle installation to go through, please see the below message and help me how to resolve this. Checking operating system requirements ... Expected result: One of redhat-3,redhat-4,SuSE-9,asianux-1,asianux-2 Actual Result: SuSE-9 Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Passed ======================================================================= Checking operating system package requirements ... Checking for make-3.79; found make-3.80-187. Passed Checking for binutils-2.14; found binutils-2.15.94.0.2.2-3. Passed Checking for gcc-3.2; found Not found. The overall result of this check is: Failed <<<< Problem: Some packages required for the Oracle Database 10g to function properly are missing (see above). You are missing some necessary files, so you have to contact either Oracle or your Linux distributor for more information. We at KDE can do nothing for you, sorry. |
