Description Dragan Espenschied 2005-08-22 20:45:24 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3.4 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-686

I have placed the kicker at the bottom of the screen.
When i log out and log back in, the position of the icons that are close to the kicker are garbled ... some of them overlap, most of them move downwards.

It only affects icons positioned close to the kicker, like in a distance of 128 pixels. All icons above stay where they are.

It does not happen every time, only maybe 50% of log outs. I guess it is due to kicker getting terminated, then the icons change position and this position is saved, just before the shut down. Then when the icons re-appear on log in, kicker is already there and the positions are wrong. -- Just a guess, i think i have seen how it happens, but it is very fast of course. :)

Kdesktop is no more mantained. Fortunatly this bug seems not to be valid for KDE 4. Please reopen if this bug is not a kdesktop one (and it is not solved) or it can be reproduced on KDE 4.
