Description Rt Rev Dr J Ganaposki 2005-08-20 21:22:45 UTC
Version: 1.7.2 (using KDE 3.3.2, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 (Mandrakelinux 10.2 3.4.3-7mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-6mdk

Kmail composer bug -
After saving a Kmail in "DRAFTS", and retrieving it, several errors occur:
(1) On repeated saves, file is deleted or corrupted on subsequent retrieval.
(2) After retrieval of draft file, "send" doesn't transmit whole file. Recipient received empty file.
(3) On one occasion, the draft tree listed the file, the message body appeared in the edit window, but when retrieved and transmitted, the outbox, and sent folder listed zero bytes.

Work around:
It appears that on first retrieval, one must select draft text, and copy it into a new email to preserve it from erasure. Any subsequent retrieval (or save to draft) corrupts or erases the file.

Can you still see this problem with the current 4.3.1 version ?
Are you using a POP or an IMAP account ?
