Version:           1.2 (using KDE 3.4.90 (alpha1, >= 20050806), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)

If an answer to a meeting request from kalender (e.g. by clicking onto accept) cannot be delivered and remains in the outbox (see bug #110714) and is edited to change the identity and thus the associated mail transport then the ics part is displayed as regular text. The receiving kmail does not recognize this email as a meeting request response any more.
