Sentry Crash Report:

Description Jaap R. de Beurs (B.Sc.) 2005-08-09 15:10:12 UTC
Version:           3.2.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3.3 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-386

OS:         Kubuntu Hoarty
KDE:        KDE 3.4.0
Kdevelop3:  3.2.0

Installed Kdevelop3 packages (4:3.2.0ubuntu1):

- kdevelop3
- kdevelop3-data
- kdevelop3-dev
- kdevelop3-plugins
- kdevelop3-doc

The manuals are not appearing in the KDE Help Center, only the headers.

- KDevelop
     - KDevelop Assistant
     - KDevelop C/C++
     - KDevelop Designer
     - KDevelop KDE/C++
     - KDevelop Multilanguage
     - KDevelop Ruby
     - Kdevelop Scripting

Also pushing the help button in the application(s) brings you to the KDE Help Center and selecting one of these manuals results in the message:

"The requested help file could not be found. Check that you have installed the documentation."

Without up-to-date manuals it is hard to develope software! So please is there a solution to my problem?

Regards, Jaap R. DeBeurs

I canot reproduce this behavior.
This is a Kubuntu bug, complain to them.
Comment 2 Matt Rogers 2005-08-10 02:37:57 UTC
yes, there is a solution. Please convince the debian developers to not rename executables when making their packages. They are the ones that rename the name of the kdevelop executable from kdevelop to kdevelop3 and this messes everything up.
