Description Volker Hemmann 2005-08-08 01:00:55 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)

OS: Linux

Hi,

in kde 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 I had the shortcut wpe pointing to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=\{@}&go=Go
 while wp was pointing to
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=\{@}&go=Go

but in 3.4.2 wpe AND wp point to de.wikipedia, and as soon as I change it to en (hitting ok after that), it will be reset to 'de' the next time I try it.

How to reproduce:
change
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=\{@}&go=Go
to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=\{@}&go=Go

in the web-shortcuts menu. Hit 'ok', wait for 'System Einrichtung wird Aktualisiert' to go away, then try wpe: in konqueror, go to the wrong page.

This was working perfectly in 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 only 3.4.2 has this bug.

Why is it always reset to the old value?

This sounds like a duplicate of bug # 85352. It should not have worked in either 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 though, weird....
