I need a more detailed explanation and report to consider this. "Like Midnight Commander" is not very helpful. i would like to be able to select some text (commands) at the prompt and save them as actions for later use. similar to bookmarks(that only cd to a selected bookmark) and have the right click menu include this Actions list, like it includes bookmarks. also, this could be on klipper's wishlist ? but i am not sure. Most shells have a search facility built-in for this. Press Ctrl+R and enter the first few letters of a command name and the last command executed which matched that text will be displayed. Matching commands can be cycled by pressing Ctrl+R and the prompt can be cancelled by pressing Ctrl+C |
