It'd be more usefult if Korganizer could handle event time in smarter way than recently (always using "Default appointment time"). Let's assume I got "10:00am" as default appointment time. Creating new appointment "today" at 13:00 shall use (or ask) current time (13:00) rather than 10:00 which already passed so I'd have to change it myself too.

agree and this has been implemented for a while now for new events.
I have it on my list to implement for to-dos as well.
