(sorry for filing this on 'kde' - I have no idea where this dialog is implemented.)

In the 'open with' dialog, the 'Remember application association for this type of file' checkbox is certainly a very nice idea - except that it is impossible to tell which type of file the damn thing is talking about.  The window title contains only the filename, and the rest of the dialog is only cencerned with picking an application to pick a file.  But the file type is not displayed anywhere.

I think a display of *both* the human readable description (for 'normal' users) and the MIME type (for people like me ;-) would be very helpful here.
