I think you may have wanted to file this under KRFB rather than KRDC. Remote hosts don't connect to KRDC; it is not a server. I also know that KRDC has been unmaintained since some time prior to the 3.4 release. as far as i know, i didnt file it under krdc, however i agree, this is probably a problem with krfb Kasper: it was I who changed the product. I've upgrade from Suse 9.0(KDE 3.1.4) to Suse 10.0 (KDE 3.4) now krfb eats nearly all cpu (i've seen in ksysguard 22% user, 75% system ressources for krfb). I use KDE desktop sharing since years but now it is so resource hungry that my hole machine is to slow to work.(e.g. with krfb running kpackage needs 2 mins to start, without krfb it needs seconds) #4: yes, this is indeed a big problem :( i hope it will get resolved, untill then, remote desktop is useless kinda. Confirmed. and its also present in 3.5 |
