There is no backtrace in this bug. please reopen if you can provide a backtrace. I re-checked it with linux 2.6.14 (x86), k3b 0.11.24 and kde 3.4.2. Some more info: I'm using dbus 0.23.4-r1, cdemu-0.7, hal-0.4.8, ivman-0.5_pre2, crdao-1.2.0, cdrtools-2.01 (if any of this may help). # uname -a Linux latitude 2.6.14-suspend2 #1 PREEMPT Sun Nov 6 15:02:00 CET 2005 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.10GHz Genuine Intel GNU/Linux The system freezes completely, providing a backtrace isn't possible. It could be a kernel/syscall thing, but I don't know how to reproduce it (e.g. using cdrecord). Could you please check if this bug still occurs with the recent version of k3b (0.12.17 or 1.0pre2)? This bug is still UNCONFIRMED, was filed for an old version of k3b (<0.12) and has not been replied to for 30 days. Closing this bug. Sorry - I missed your question. The bug does indeed not appear in recent versions.
Cheers,
Kevin
