Sentry Crash Report:

Description Anders Lindén 2005-07-19 01:11:59 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.4.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.7)
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.12-gentoo-r5

Installed KDE 3.4.1 on my Gentoo system, and noticed after a while that when using plastik as your style, dragging icons leaves traces on the desktop that only disappears when refreshing the desktop, or when covering them with an application and then moving it out of the way.
With any other style this does not happen. With an older version of KDE, this does not happen, only with 3.4.x and Plastik as chosen style.
Noticed that there were a few older bugreports with the same kind of bug that are marked resolved. It's not.

Can confirm this (3.4.1, gentoo, nvidia graphics card with driver ver 1.0.7667, xorg 6.8.2). It happens with all styles.

Can you still reproduce with 3.5.5 ?

Kdesktop is no more mantained. Fortunatly this bug seems not to be valid for KDE 4. Please reopen if this bug is not a kdesktop one (and it is not solved) or it can be reproduced on KDE 4.
