Some infos - I can open the file with the "open with" dialog with "kwrite". - I am also unable to use the "open in console and don't close it" feature with kwrite, so maybe this is just another bug, and because of it I cannot debug the jnlp problem. - I removed all symbolic links from the path of javaws, doesn't help - javaws is a shell script, if I run the shell script from console with just the url behind it, everything works fine. I am not sure if the choosen component is correct. The bug is about opening an xml file with a applikation out of konqueror. The applikation is a script which starts java web start. Also it is about the run dialog not supporting the "open in konsole and don't close console" feature. Indeed this bug is more general than just java. Changing to general component at least "open in console and don't close it" with kwrite works for me at 3.5.9 and svn trunk r808533 (qt4.4 final). The mimetype application/x-java-jnlp-file exists in kde4 (shared-mime-info), at least. I guess what's missing is just a .desktop file for javaws then --> reassigning to kappfinder. I don't think we can get whoever provides javaws to make a desktop for it? That would be the best solution though. Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug. |
