Description justin garofoli 2005-07-08 21:46:48 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

It would be nice if...

kstars could print a professional looking star chart that had the following features:
-border with either grid or tickmarks indicating location in sky +
-star magnitude handled by point size +
-deep sky object extent rendering (either outline, box, circle, something to give indication of size)
-highlight a targeted object (i.e. ceres), and draw a track for it with time labels (really wishing here)
-a key and legend defining star magnitudes, scale (degrees), listing when the chart is for, where it is for, its orientation (north up, mirrored, etc), and a notes field. +

+ indicates more important wish.

Should we consider closing this, as Cartes du Ciel does that feature beautifully?
