Description Hans-Peter Jansen 2005-07-06 11:01:12 UTC
Version: 1.8.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I've two SuSE 9.3 systems with kmail installed, a desktop and a notebook. The desktop uses ordinary IMAP with a local cyrus IMAP server (also SuSE 9.3), and the notebook uses dIMAP with the same account. Both systems also define a saved search template: From: contains "Linus Torvalds" on LKML, where I'm subscribed. While the desktop shows and updates this search folder correctly (622 messages from Linus), when opening the LKML folder (currently 57262 messages...), the notebook don't:
it doesn't count more then 355 messages from Linus, no matter, if I enter the LKML folder, the search folder, or query it again. Something is limiting the number of matches within dIMAP.

I might add, that I love both features: dIMAP and saved searches! Consequently, I would love to see them work together ;-)

Cannot reproduce on KDE 4.3

You're kidding, don't you? At least, you forgot to add a :-)

Absolutly not. It does definetly can count more than 355 messages in my dIMAP account. That's what I tested and what worked.
