This is not necessarily a good thing. Being allowed to do all that in a Open/Save dialog can lead to security problems. I have many times opened an Explorer using that when the icons were removed. We have Kiosk lockdown in KDE, however. I don't see how expanding the capabilities of the Open/Save dialog to match those of KFM is a security threat. After all, the user can always start up Konqueror and do the same things. If the admin doesn't trust the user, the admin should use Kiosk lockdown (as Thiago suggested) and set the proper file permissions. Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 188507 *** |
