Version:           1.5.1 (using KDE 3.4.1, compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.5 20050605 (prerelease) (Debian 3.4.4-0)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.7

Most of the time I have about 8 or more Konsole Tabs opened. History is at 3000 lines.

After some days, switching (shift + left/right|mouse) between the console tabs is getting slower and slower.

If I close console and start it again, everything is fine.

Do you notice a change in memory use over time?

This information may help the developers pinpoint
the issue.

Have you checked the CPU-Usage? I have a similar Problem http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103484 and i am not completely sure, whether it's X-Server related or Konsole related (my X-Server eats up quite a lot of CPU-Time). Have you enabled transparent Background? What font-settings?

Hello,

Quite a few memory / performance issues were fixed in KDE 3.5.3 / 3.5.4 and more in Konsole for KDE 4.  

Please check KDE 3.5.4 and reopen if there is still a problem.
