Description arne anka 2005-06-08 10:54:00 UTC
Version: v0.9.6 (using KDE 3.4.1, Debian Package 4:3.4.1-1 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Debian 1:3.3.6-5)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.10

select a bit of text so it's inserted in klipper, selct another bit of text -> paste with middle mouse click --> the penultimate selection is inserted! looking into klippers popup shows the correct order of entries.

same here. not always and no pattern, but far to often to be tolerable.
seems like either the kind of selection (mouse, keyboard, ctrl+x, ctrl+c) makes a difference (though i can't say i experience a pattern) or the structure holding the snippets has issues with a stable order.

I have this issue when selecting URLs with actions disabled.

Can you update your KDE version to a more recent one (like 3.5.10 or 4.2beta1) and try to reproduce the bug? I'm not able to reproduce it on current trunk.
Comment 4 arne anka 2008-12-01 11:43:20 UTC
in debian/unstable klipper did not yet make it to 3.5.10, current version is 3.5.9.dfsg.1-5.
i'll file a request for packaging.
kde 4.x is still totally out of question for debian/unstable.

Please reopen if you'll find this behavior in KDE4 klipper version.
