Usually bugs.
Adding this to Folder View is trivial but this might easily end up messing up your icon positions if done accidentally. That concern applies to Dolphin and Konqueror, too. Maybe we should add it to Folder view but then have it controlled by a global setting. Or remove it from everywhere and risk the wrath of the small percent of users who use it... In Dolphin you cannot manually arrange your icons and won't mess anything up if you zoom in and back out. One could remember the position per size or do other trickery but imho that's not worth it for an imho seldom used feature, at least on the desktop you're unlikely to frequently change icon sizes, no? I agree with Kai, this has the potential to cause huge problems. We already have enough issues with desktop icons not remembering their positions and this would make it worse. No can do, sorry. |
