What filesystem are you using on the partition where you are storing your mbox files? On Sunday 29 May 2005 22:18, R.F.Pels wrote:

xfs on SuSE 9.0.
And I forgot to mention that this is with KMail from KDE 3.3.1 (SuSE
packages).
Independent of the bug: you should _really_ use maildir in this case. Working with one 2 GB text file is not really an option. On Wednesday 01 June 2005 13:35, Carsten Burghardt wrote:

with the file index this is no problem only if you've to recreate the
index. And of course is maildir my preferred storage type. But if you
start using KMail with a inbox in mbox format (i.e. from Netscape) at a
time without maildir support it's a bit more than just one click to
change the inbox format.
Thank you for your report. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained and the code has changed sufficiently in Kmail2 so the backtraces are not really useful anymore. Should you experience the same crash in Kmail 4.8.5 or later, please open a new report for Kmail2. Thank you for your understanding I don't know whether this is fixed now but as I use maildir only for my local mails I close this entry. |
