Description Roland Hösch 2005-05-25 11:49:47 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.2.1, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.111.19-bigsmp

After a backup an d restore of my home directory I can't access my kmail mail folgers. When starting kmail in a console the error message is:

"kmail: WARNING: Ein fataler Fehler ist in KMail aufgetreten. Das Programm wird beendet.
Die Fehlermeldung lautet:
Lokales Postfach lässt sich nicht sychronisieren."

Then I deleted "Account 4" and "Accont 5" from my kmailrc file. "Accont 4" looks like this:

"[Account 4]
Folder=Rlh@itPenguin
Name=rlh@itPenguin.de
Type=pop
auth=USER
check-exclude=false
check-interval=1
filter-on-server=false
filter-os-check-size=50000
host=mail-server
leave-on-server=false
login=rlh
pass=
pipelining=false
port=110
precommand=
resource=false
sieve-alternate-url=
sieve-port=2000
sieve-reuse-config=true
sieve-support=false
store-passwd=true
trash=trash
use-ssl=false
use-tls=false"

Now kmail starts, but I cant access my mail folders. When accessing a local mail folder (imap boxes work) I get this error message:

"rlh@majestix:~> kmail: WARNING: Error: Failure modifying /users/rlh/Mail/.SEH.directory/.all-inkl.index.sorted (No space left on device?)
kmail: WARNING: kmheaders.cpp:3414
kmail: WARNING: Ein fataler Fehler ist in KMail aufgetreten. Das Programm wird beendet.
Die Fehlermeldung lautet:
Keine Änderung möglich: "/users/rlh/Mail/.SEH.directory/.all-inkl.index.sorted"
(Nicht genügend Platz auf dem Datenträger?)"

Before starting kmail the file ".all-inkl.index.sorted" existed, after the error message the file is missing, so kmail must have deleted it.

What can I do, to access my email folders again???

Is there a way to restore the contents of the maildir folders???

Any help is very welcome!!!

Thank you very much,
Roland

Changed severity to "crash". I hope to have selected only the right bugs (>100) :-)

Think this is not reconstructable any more - isn't it?
