Description S. Burmeister 2005-05-24 13:40:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Using OpenOffice 2.0 beta with KDE integration, I go to Insert > Image > From file.
The open-file dialogue displayed is far too wide, as the entry in the file-type/filter drop-down menu is too long to be displayed on the screen.

The entry should be cut, in order to fit on the screen. For those who still want to be eable to read the last few letters of the shortened string could get a pop-up with line-breaks when hovering the drop-down menu.

Re-assigned to kdelibs, changed summary to something more clear.

I don't know if the problem is in OO or kdelibs.

Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.

No longer an issue in KDE Frameworks 5.
